Year 7 and 8 Online Safety and Sexting Workshops with North Yorkshire Police

Throughout the morning on Tuesday 28th November, all year 7 and year 8 students were involved in workshops with the North Yorkshire Police aimed at educating young people about the importance of online safety.

Year 7 and 8 Online Safety and Sexting Workshops with North Yorkshire Police

Students learnt how to stay safe online, what not to do online, the laws involving online behaviour and what they can do if they find themselves in trouble online.

All students found the session extremely beneficial, the two Officers leading the sessions were very informative and all students should now be better aware of their online conduct.

We will continue to work alongside North Yorkshire Police and will be offering all parents the chance to attend an evening workshop aimed at keeping their child/children safe on the internet. This will be held in the Studio on Tuesday 20th February 2018.

Students, remember, if you find yourself in an uncomfortable or difficult situation online, you must report it. You can report it to a teacher, the police or directly to CEOP.
