Trips

There are a variety of trips and visits throughout the school year providing our students with rich experiences not normally available in the classroom. The trips provide memories that often last a lifetime. These include foreign residential trips, enrichment days at the end of the school year, curriculum visits and visitors in school. The students become more engaged and relationships between students and staff are noticeably improved. All of these enhance the learning experience of the students and contribute to an exciting and thriving school community.

Enrichment Days

Enrichment Days have been successfully running at Ryedale School for well over 35 years. They take place at the end of the summer term for 2 days in July. All students are taken off timetable and select courses organised by staff. There are many options available such as – Cricket, Sport for All, Golf, Craft, Music, Outdoor Pursuits, Cultural Visits and a ‘Lucky Dip’ if you can’t make your mind up.

Curriculum Visits

Staff have also planned a variety of visits directly related to the curriculum which engage the students in their learning and give a better insight into their studies. These include English, Drama, Music, History and Geography.
