On Tuesday 7th November, some of our Year 8 girls accompanied by Dr Beal and Mr Pullan, enjoyed an afternoon at the Pretty Curious Studio in association with EDF Energy at Harrogate.
The girls took part in various studio events, some of which included building a virtual nuclear generator and the construction and programming of a droid. All of the events during the afternoon challenged the girls creatively and gave them the opportunity to explore and experience the career possibilities available to them by pursuing STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects at school.
