We started the tournament with a match against Lady Lumley’s, who we comfortably beat 23-1, with the help of fantastic shooting from Abi Smith, Hazel Williamson, and Phoebe Gurling.
We then went on to play the Ryedale C team and secured a score of 19-1, as well as everyone switching positions for the second half and having some brilliant shooting from Amy Hayhurst, who’s usually in defence.
Our next game was against Malton. This was our most challenging game but we won 12-6 thanks to strong defence from Nell Thackeray, and Amy Hayhurst.
Our fourth game was with the Ryedale B team, both teams played well, but the A team won 12-1, with great channel play from the centre court players, Polly Mumford, Amber Mason, Izzy Hurst and Casey Johnson, getting the ball down to our attacking third.
We played Whitby for our final match and managed to secure a score of 12-4 to Ryedale; meaning we were undefeated and victorious in the Partnership tournament.
Both other Ryedale teams played well, with the B team coming 4th and the C team coming 6th.
