Ryedale School Runs a Mock General Election

During form times last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday students have been unpicking the manifestos of the parties running in the general election, this has allowed students to understand the key policies of each party and make an informed choice about who they would chose to vote for.

Students participated in the mock general election on Thursday. The schools results are attached on the PowerPoint, which many have found particularly interesting.

It has been a really great week here at Ryedale School, with students showing a real interest and level of understanding around the General Election.

The results have just been shared with students and staff, and discussions around the result of the nations General Election are flowing throughout school.

A big thank you to Miss Heath and her politics team for counting the votes and putting the final result together.

Finally, any students that have enjoyed learning about politics this week and want to find out more, come along to Miss Heath’s Politics/ Debate club on Wednesday lunchtimes.
