On Tuesday 1st March 2016, Ryedale School students spent a fantastic day learning culinary skills with The Demo Chef – Phillip Leverington and Miss Wallis, in a pop up kitchen in the school studio.
All year 7, 8 and 9 students experienced a general cooking workshop, whilst year 10 and 11 Food Technology students focussed on multicultural dishes and presenting their food to restaurant standard.
Students had an excellent day learning about food and different ingredients such as salmon, venison and black garlic. Some lucky individuals also got to be tasters. A huge thank you must be given to Phillip and his wife Sam, who gave up their day to work with our students, it was a huge success!
