Ryedale school Year 8 team took part in the Under 13 Scarborough and District Basketball Final held at George Pindar School, Scarborough. The competition was a three-way event between Ryedale School, Scalby School, Scarborough and St Augustine’s School, Scarborough.
Ryedale played St Augustine’s in the first game winning 28 – 4. St Augustine’s then beat Scalby 12 -8. Ryedale played Scalby in the last game winning 51-2. Outstanding performances for Ryedale were by Byron Marshall and Jack Towler. Jack Towler the Ryedale captain was awarded the trophy by George Pindar’s Head of PE Andrew Worrell.
