The Ryedale School Equestrian team had a successful outing to Northallerton Equestrian Centre on 21st February, competing in the National Schools Equestrian Association Show jumping area qualifiers.
Success in the 90cm, 100cm and 110cm show jumping events mean that the teams qualify for the National Championships which will take place later in April.
The 90 team: Eleanor Clark, Erin Smith, Ellen Winter and Katy Mintoft rode super rounds with individual successes for Erin, placing her 5th and Eleanor Clark 6th in a large class.
The 100cm team: Ruby Thompson, Ellen Winter, Erin Smith and Katy Mintoft rode a competitive and faultless four rounds to win with Ellen Winter taking 1st individually too in that class with a rocket-fast round along with Katy Mintoft achieving 6th.
Ruby Thompson went on to win individually in the 110cm class and is also heading to championship finals – well done Ruby, an excellent and technical round ridden!
Other riders, Joe Lumley, Daisy Lumley and Hattie Du Boulay all rode brilliantly in their respective events and enjoyed the outing on their ponies.
Good luck to the team as they travel down to the midlands for the finals!
