As the day started Ryedale were set to play five matches against some tough opponents. Their first match was against Filey and the girls all played amazingly with a 12 1/2 – 1. Everyone batted perfectly so going into the second match they were confident that they could win against Lady Lumley’s. At the end of the match the girls had only conceded 2 rounder’s and scored 10 which was again a good win for the team.
After that match they were to play Malton who have been their toughest team all season. They played amazingly and won with a score of 12 1/2-2. Scalby was the second to last team the girls played – could they win? Once again the team won with a good score of 11-3.
The final game was the deciding match and the whole team played brilliantly with the final score being 17-1/2. Throughout the tournament the girls played really well resulting in them being district champions!
