On Tuesday the 21st of November the Year 7 ‘A’ team from Ryedale, went to Lady Lumley’s School to the partnership netball tournament hoping to hold on to the title.
To start with Ryedale played Malton B team and Ryedale won 13-0 this was a good start to the tournament. After this we went on to play Caedmon College B team and kept the winning streak going winning 5-2. Afterwards we went and played Fylinghall and beat them 13-0 with some very good shooting.
We were then through to the semi-finals and faced Caedmon College ‘A’ team which was a very tight game but we fought very hard with some very tight marking when needed to win 4-3 and move in to the final when we faced a very tough Malton but with very good shooting and strong defending we beat them 2-1 winning the tournament! We were unbeaten throughout the whole tournament.
