We made a fabulous start to the tournament by beating Eskdale 15-2 . GS Jasmine Graham and GA Izzie Mayfield scored some great goals and worked really well around the D with C Abby Ryder and WA Georgie Eve.
Netball
Next we played Caedmon which ended in a great 16-2 win. The defence worked really well together and achieved some impressive interceptions against some tall opponents (GK Jasmine Graham , GD Francesca Cuming and WD Molly Carter).
We then went on to play Lady Lumleys where we continued our winning streak and beat them 17- 3. WA Erin Smith made some strong passes to help our shooters Izzie and Abby make some great shots. Jasmine Graham said the passes where “crisp and pristine.”
Finally, we played Malton which was our toughest match. The whole team worked extremely well together to create a 9-3 win. WD Isla Mcclanachan helped to form a strong defensive team to prevent Malton from scoring many goals. The centre court players made great passes so play could flow quickly down the court to score goals. GK Cally Cussons described the match as “exhilarating” . The match was a superb end to our Partnership tournament. We achieved 1st place and were unbeaten.
Fran Cuming (Year 11 Captain)
The team gave a fantastic performance and even when they were winning easily kept pushing themselves to give their very best. I know they are ready to go on to win the District Tournament next week.
