Year 11 Mocks begin on Monday 17th November for a full two-week cycle. Our expectation is that students will treat them as seriously as they would a real GCSE exam, as it is an important barometer of their progress towards success in summer 2015. In assembly this morning, all students were given a copy of the 2014 Y11 Mock Exam Timetable, a document which will help students remember the content of each subject’s mock exam paper, 2014 Y11 Mock Exam Revision Guide, and were shown a 2014 Year 11 Revision Tips PowerPoint.
Subjects which have mock exams will use lessons and homework tasks between now and Monday 17th November to prepare students, giving them the best possible chance of success. Student performance in mock examinations is used as part of a wide range of measures to track progress towards target grades, and parents are updated on their child’s progress through Assessment for Learning, Year 11 reports and Year 11 Parents Evening over the coming months as part of the build-up towards summer 2015.
Work hard and be successful, Year 11.
