On Friday 22nd January year 8 students spent the afternoon in an alcohol awareness workshop with three volunteers from Collingwood Learning. Ryedale School collaborated with Botton Village School for the afternoon, ensuring that students from both schools received this fantastic and very valuable life lesson. The workshop, named ‘Smashed’ was a huge success, and students left the session feeling confident about the risks of underage drinking, the law and the repercussions it may have on their lives.
I would like to say a huge well done to the students for being an excellent audience as well as a massive thank you to the ‘Smashed’ volunteers for teaching such an important life lesson.
