Ten months into her training, Mrs Wilkinson is devastated to have been injured during a training session, damaging the ligaments in her right foot. She is desperate for the injury to heal and is not enjoying her stint on crutches. Students at Ryedale School have described her as ‘definitely grumpier than usual.’
The ultra-marathon is due to take place on the 27th January, but Mrs Wilkinson has been advised to avoid training for at least six weeks. On interview, (grumpy) Mrs Wilkinson explained:
I was doing so well with my training and was just starting to enjoy it, managing up to 20 miles per week. It is so frustrating to get injured at this point!’
It appears that only rest and more sponsorship money on the school website will be Mrs Wilkinson’s only chance of a speedy recovery.
Please consider sponsoring the staff team running to raise money for Ryedale School.
