Year 11 win Ryedale & Whitby partnership netball tournament

On Thursday 22nd of September, Ryedale School’s A,B and C netball teams travelled to Caedmon College Whitby to compete in the Ryedale and Whitby Partnership tournament. Overall it was a success for all three teams with Ryedale A team finishing in 1st place, Ryedale B team finishing in 4th and Ryedale C team finishing in 7th.

Ryedale School Year 11 Netball Champions

The first match was Ryedale A team against Ryedale B team. Both teams played well and fantastic play from both Charlotte Morbey and Eliza Powell lead the A team to a secured victory of 15-1.

The next match for the A team was against Caedmon College A team. Ryedale played extremely well and Harriet Eve consistently brought the ball down the court securing a 13-0 win.

In the third match, Ryedale played Lady Lumelys School. This was a tough match as the opposition were able to keep possession of the ball however outstanding defenders Holly Collier and Millie Redshaw were able to win the ball back and get it down to the shooting end. The determination of the Ryedale players gave them an 11-0 score that they had worked hard for.

The fourth match was against Ryedale C team which Ryedale A team won.

The next match was against Malton which is always a hard fought match and Lizzie Ball played extremely well at WD. Ryedale A were victorious with a score of 8-4.

The last match was won comfortably 17-0 against Caedmon College B team and Ruth Aber and Ellie Crowther linked up together to produce some excellent shooting.

Overall an exceptional performance from all teams and the Ryedale A team continue their dominance of the Ryedale Whitby Partnership tournament.
