The first match was against Whitby Caedmon College which was a major success. Due to fantastic and consistent shooting, Ellie Crowther (GS) and Ruth Aber (GA) lead the team to a win of 23-0.

The second match was against Saint Augustine’s. Ryedale played brilliantly and exceptional defending from Millie Redshaw (GD) and Holly Collier (GK) ensured that Ryedale did not concede a goal with a final score of 19-0.

The next match was against Scalby which Ryedale won comfortably (17-1).

The fourth match was against Malton which is always the hardest match of the tournament. Superb interceptions made by Eliza Powell (WD) ensured that the ball rarely made it into the opposing D. The final score was 14-2.

The fifth match was against Lady Lumelys School. Consistent play down the centre of the court by Charlotte Morbey (WA) and Harriet Eve (C) lead the team to a secured win of 15-0.

The final match was against Filey. Splendid defence by Katie Williams (WD) and good team play from all the players resulted in another 23-0 win.

Overall the tournament was successful with outstanding play from the whole team. As a team we would like to thank our coach Mrs Green (“Greeny” as we call her) for putting in the time and effort to ensure that we were ready for the tournament. We are all excited to go to the County round on 12th November and we hope that it will be as successful as the District tournament.
