The Wolfson Foundation visit the school today

It was great to welcome Sophie Gibbon, senior grants officer from the Wolfson Foundation today.

We have a grant application with the trust seeking support for the funding of the science lab refurbishment so Sophie spent the morning learning more about the school, the new build and specifically our plans for lab. She met with Mark, myself and PTA volunteer Cate Birch who has helped put our bid together and also Dr Beal and Katie Hunter.

The highlight of the morning was probably her tour of the school ably led by head boy Dan Towler and a fellow prefect. Sophie was very appreciative of the welcome she received from everyone she met. We certainly appreciate her coming up from London to visit us too.

We’ll know in June whether we have been successful with our application so keep your fingers crossed everyone!
