Ryedale School Year 7 District Rugby Champions

Ryedale School Year 7 rugby team have won the Scarborough and District Rugby final.

The final was held at Scarborough Rugby club against Filey School. The Ryedale pack started the game strongly, dominating possession and scoring the first try within five minutes. They then continued this domination throughout the game scoring ten tries.

Filey scored a consolation try at the end of the game with the score 50 – 5.

Outstanding performances throughout the game were by Mathew Saxby the Ryedale captain, Henry duBoulay, Henry Marwood and James Bowsher.

Ryedale now progress to the East Yorkshire Championships at Driffield Rugby club where they will play the winners of the Driffield, Bridlington and Hull schools.
