Ryedale School Exhibition at Nunnington Hall

IMG_6657Ryedale School students’ work will be on display at Nunnington Hall between Saturday 28th March to Sunday 10th May.

The exhibition will feature stunning pieces of work produced by students from Ryedale School as part of their GCSE coursework and examination 2015.  The work includes a wide range of styles and demonstrates the use of a range of media including acrylic paint, pastels, mixed media, watercolours and pencil drawings.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see work from young local artists inspired by a range of topics.  The work includes pieces based on themes such as ‘Identity’ and ‘Close Up’. Pupils were required to research their topic and select artists to inspire the final pieces.

Postscript to the event

The public response to the pupil’s work exhibited at Nunnington Hall was fantastic. Here is just a very small selection of comments that were recorded:

Amazing! Such fantastic ideas. What a credit to the pupils and the school.

Well done everyone – you deserve top grades for this excellent work.

Great standard of work. Some pieces I would consider buying.

Excellent mature, well researched and executed art – good exhibition

Some great work here. You should be proud of your students.

Which of course we are! Well done to all the artists who took part.
