We had an amazing week with the Pearl of Africa Children’s Choir at Ryedale School. We sang and danced with them, fed them, hosted them in the family homes of students and staff, took them bowling, to the cinema, shopping, to restaurants – a lot was crammed into a short space of time!
Most importantly though, we raised £5,000 on our school concert day, and with further efforts during the week, should get to around £8,500, which is a terrific effort from everyone. Thank you to all students, staff and parents for the time and effort you put in to support them. We sent them off to Liverpool for the next leg of their tour with our very best wishes and are looking forward to seeing them again next year.
