Laura raises money for charity with her baking expertise

Putting her baking skills to good use, Laura Potter has raised over £945 over the last 4 weeks for Martin House Children’s Hospice. She held an online auction, with a promise of “A cake a week, for a month”. People were asked to submit their bids privately and the three highest bids were winners. Collectively their bids totalled £500 and they were treated to Chocolate Cake, Bakewell Tart, Millionaire’s Shortbread and Victoria Sponge with Cream and Summer Berries.

Martin House is a wonderful place and has been such a great support to Laura and her family, as her sister Issy visited for respite care before she died in 2012.

Well done Laura, and good luck with your continued fundraising.
