In this topic we study the worlds population over time and reasons why it has changed. We look at the differences in population growth in wealthy and developing countries and evaluate the different ways some countries have tried to control its population. We investigate issues around migration and what impact it has on both the host and source country.

In this topic we study the formation of a range of different landscapes and the characteristics of the geology that they are composed of. We will research the impact that weathering and erosion has on a landscape and what landforms and features this creates. We will also investigate the human uses of these landscapes and rocks.

In this topic we study the structure of the Earth and how earthquakes and volcanoes are created. We look at the impact these hazards have on the world and how humans react to them. We will analyse the effects of these tectonic hazards and how a countries wealth can effect them. We also cover the formation and uses of fold mountains.

In this topic we study the processes that occur on our coasts and the effects those processes have. We will investigate different ways humans have tried to manage the coastlines and evaluate their success. We look at some unique coastal habitats such as salt marches and coral reefs.
