Ryedale Year 10 netball teams

Ryedale played Filey first beating them 24-0 in an largely attacking game. The second match seemed to be more challenging against Malton B, where excellent play from centre court players Harriet Eve and Charlotte Morbey secured a 20-1 win.

The next match was against Lumleys who proved to be the hardest competition of the pool. The defenders Millie Redshaw and Holly Collier were strong as a pair and seemed to cause the Lumleys attackers to make a lot of mistakes which we used to our advantage to claim a 15-1 win.

After three matches off, Ryedale went up against Scarborough College. With excellent shooting from Ruth Aber and Ellie Crowther, we managed to win the match comfortably with a 17-0 victory.

In order to win the pool and gain a place in the semi finale, Ryedale had to play Graham. In an extremely offensive match, Ryedale secured a place in the semi final with a 29-0 win.

Unfortunately Ryedale a and b team had to play each other in an attempt to get a place in the final. In a challenging match, with brilliant play from Lizzie Ball and amazing play from all of the b team, the a team managed to clinch a position in the final with a 22-2 win.

The final was against Malton a team who were extremely strong, but Ryedale played exceptionally as a team and claimed the title of district champions with a 17-3 victory.
